On March 21, 1938 Just Entertainment returned to the air over the CBS network for a brief run. Jack Fulton, The Andrews Sisters, and Carl Hohengarten's orchestra filled the airwaves with music and song for fifteen minutes on a Monday through Friday schedule. The announcers were Don Hancock and Dick Post. The final broadcast in this series was broadcast on July 1, 1938.
When the war with Japan ended during August of 1945, Wrigley was left with several wartime shows which were suddenly obsolete. On August 14, 1945 they dusted off the old Just Entertainment title and returned it to the CBS airwaves to temporarily fill the gap left vacant by the cancellation of the Service to the Front show. The thirty minute program starred Barry Wood who doubled as emcee and vocalist, The Bennett Sisters provided additional vocals, and Caesar Petrillo led the orchestra. Announcers Paul Brentson and Russ Davis continued to ask radio listeners to have patience until Wrigley Gum would again be in plentiful supply for civilian consumption.
It should be noted that all these shows originated from the studios of WBBM in Chicago and were carried, for the most part, by only midwest affiliates of CBS.
