The Colgate-Palmolive Peet Company presented their radio House Party show over the NBC Red network beginning on April 23, 1934. The star-laden variety show featured the comedy of Arthur Boran and Joe Cook, emcee Bradford Browne, vocalists Frances Langford, The Melody Boys, Donald Novis, The Rhythm Girls, Conrad Thibault, and Al Trahan, and the orchestra under the direction of Donald Voorhees.

Joe Cook hosted his party from the mythical estate of Sleepless Hollow where old actors in residence entertained the guests.
