Love Story was a fifteen minute romantic tale complete in each episode, and starredthe anonymous "Love Story Girl."

The transcribed dramazations, taken from the pages of Street and Smith's Love Story Magazine, were syndicated in 1930.

The program later evolved into the more familiar and long running mystery series known as The Shadow. Frank Readick played the Shadow and David Ross announced.

The program was first heard on October 1, 1931 over the CBS network under the title of Love Story Drama; but two weeks later on October 15th it was renamed Love Story Hour.

The series left the air on September 22, 1932.
