This 1945 serial was written by Walter Gibson of "The Shadow" fame.

Jim Brandon, scientist, helps out the police with their cases. His inventionsinclude a mind reading machine and a secret capsule that renders him invisible.The early shows tried to incorporate the "mental messages" theme but succeededpoorly. As the show progressed the telepathy machine was written out of thescripts leaving "The Avenger" a poor imitation of "The Shadow".
